Saskatchewan Manufacturing Council
Manufacturing 2025 is a CME and Saskatchewan Manufacturing Council-led initiative, mandated and committed to developing the roadmap, policy framework and action plan necessary to grow manufacturing sales to $25 billion in the province over the next decade.
Launched in November 2014, the Saskatchewan Manufacturing Centre of Excellence is a joint project with the Government of Saskatchewan, Western Economic Diversification, and other partners, mandated with providing the resources, services and leadership necessary to compete and win in both domestic and global markets.
Overview
Established in January 2013, the Saskatchewan Manufacturing Council is a CME-led initiative that brings together chief executives and other senior leaders from across the province to speak with one voice on priority issues impacting manufacturing in the province.
Mandate
To find common ground on priority issues impacting Saskatchewan manufacturers and exporters, and to work alongside partners in both industry and the public sector to ensure the necessary policies, programs and services are in place to grow domestically and around the world.
Regular Meetings
Council meetings take place 2-4 times per year, or as required, typically in Regina or Saskatoon. These are generally in-person meetings, although teleconferencing may be used as a alternate option to accomodate schedules.
