3twenty Modular has been selected as the 2014 Saskatchewan Manufacturer of the Year, for its exemplary achievements in the areas of business success, dedication to community and industry, and employer excellence.

The award was presented by Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) and RBC Royal Bank, May 13, at the second annual Minister's Manufacturing Dinner, co-hosted by The Hon. Bill Boyd, Minister of the Economy, Government of Saskatchewan.

"This year's finalists were selected from dozens of nominations — all making outstanding contributions to the economic growth, job creation and quality of life here in Saskatchewan," says CME Vice President & Saskatchewan Manufacturing Council Executive Director, Derek Lothian. "These are the champions driving our communities, and we are proud to recognize 3twenty Modular for their commitment to innovation and leadership in our province."

Founded in 2009, the Saskatoon-based manufacturer produces steel offices, wash cars, camps and custom structures for the mining, oil and gas, construction, and education industries. In 2011, more than two million people tuned into CBC's Dragon's Den to watch 3twenty's founders gain the confidence and partnership of one of Canada's best-known investors, W. Brett Wilson.

"3twenty Modular's solutions are a real game-changer for the industries they serve, helping to enhance and increase their clients' capacity and productivity," says Lynette Gillen, Vice President, Commercial Financial Services, RBC Royal Bank. "3twenty Modular exemplifies the bold leadership, innovative thinking and dynamic collaboration that will enable them to continue to evolve in response to changing industry needs locally, across Canada, and on the global stage."

This year's deserving finalists also included S3 Enterprises Inc. (Swift Current, SK) and Superior Cabinets (Saskatoon, SK).

In 2014, Saskatchewan's manufacturing sector employed roughly 28,800 workers, generated $16.5 billion in sales, and contributed an estimated $50 billion in total economic activity.
